Burnaby School District

Burnaby School District sits at the centre of Metro Vancouver, next to Simon Fraser University, with world-class SkyTrain transit that reaches downtown Vancouver in about 30 minutes. Across 41 elementary and eight secondary schools, it runs one of the largest Advanced Placement programs in Canada, and two of its schools offer the demanding AP Capstone Diploma. International students join a district known for strong academics, arts and athletics, and are placed with local homestay families kept close to school, with no more than two international students and no shared first language per home. Taiwanese families value the central location, deep AP offerings and clear pathways to leading universities.
